and Mrs. Robert McAffee and their son, Natt, in Rollingfork last week. Pi The Town Country Club was entertained by Mrs. Wooky Gray, Guest, Mrs. J.A.

Anderson, won High Score and Mrs. Everette Williams won Bingo. A former Moorhead football coach was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame in Jackson. Among those attending were Mark Pilgrim and Charles Clark of Moorhead and former football players Larry Holder of Jackson and his brother David Holder who flew in from San Diego, Cal. Coach Wade is credited with being the "winningest" coach in Mississippi with most of his victories from Moorhead High School.

Mrs. Mercie Kitchens was honored on her 79th birthday with a Barbeque dinner in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Roberts. A two-tiered cake, topped with a spring bouquet was served by Mrs. Janet Monroe, granddaughter of Mrs.

Kitchens. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. E. Carpenter of Lexington, Mr.

and Mrs. Travis Lacy of Tupelo; Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Kitchens of Jackson; Mr.

and Mrs. Lanny Monroe, Chip and Lacy of Corinth Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Vinn-ing, Magen, Sonja and Jerri Ann of Greenwood; Dr. and Mrs.

Ronnie Phillie, Michelle, Benjamin and Jonithan of Grenada; Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Lacy, Sarah and Grace of Jackson; Mr. and Mrs.

Anderson and Aubrea drove back to Moorhead with him on Sunday for a visit in the home of Mrs. Anderson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.N. Allen.

The Chamber of Commerce THE MOORHEAD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE is sponsoring a Christmas lights to get into the spirit of the tournament while benefit tennis tournament August 30 through September 3 to Chamber of Commerce president Joe Acree looks over some of raise money to pay for the City's new Christmas decorations. Moorhead plans tournament Carondelet Grubb and Jill Sandroni of Shaw and Emily Boyer of Indianola rode the Amtrak from Winona to New Orleans to spend the weekend. The spaniel family of dogs contains more breeds ten than any other. The name comes from the word Spain. balls. Play will begin promptly at scheduled times.

The Moorhead Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a benefit tennis tournament which will run from August 30 to September 3. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards paying for the city new Christmas Decorations. The tournament will be held at the Mississippi Delta Junior College courts with three matches played nightly. Matches will be played from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..

7 to 8:30 and 8:30 to 10 p.m. There will be Womens' Doubles. Mens' Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions at the tournament with and brackets in the Womens' Doubles and Mixed Doubles divisions and A and brackets in Mens' Doubles. The entry fee for players is $10 per player per event. The age limit is 18 or older.

Players will furnish their own Military News James Mitchell Job Corpsmember James Mitchell of 641 Chandler Indianola was awarded his General Equivalency High School Diploma at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Special Award Ceremonies recently. The GED Diploma is earned by students only after successful completion of a wide range of academic studies and after passing a written test administered at the University of Kentucky- Henderson Community College. Corpsmember James Mitchell is completing studies in Landscape-Nursery. Two take Tougaloo course Roger Huey of Moorhead and Adrian Ware of Indianola recently completed a six week science program at Tougaloo College.

They were among 79 students to participate in the program that is designed to encourage more students to enter the health, engineering and physical science professions. Those attending were selected from a list of applicants who plan to go to Tougaloo as freshmen this fall. The students were enrolled in intesive courses that included biology, chemistry, communications skills, computer programming, math and problem solving. The students also visited the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the Delta Health Center in Mound Bayou, the Baylor College of Medicine and the Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston.
